Student Expectations

While attending the VLC, students will be expected to meet the following attendance and performance standards.:

  1. Consistent attendance and active course progression are necessary for students to be successful in online and hybrid schools.

  2. In general, students are required to be β€œin school” daily and should only be absent due to illness or extenuating circumstances.

  3. While virtual learning allows for flexibility in time, pace, and place, students are expected to be in attendance online each week within their learning platform.

Please reference the following schedules that are important components of the expectations required of our VLC students:

If students and parents are unwilling to comply with these regulations, students choosing to attend the virtual learning center may be unable to continue their enrollment.

A complete review of VLC Student Expectations can be viewed in the online Swartz Creek Student Virtual Learning Center Parent-Student Handbook (2024-2025) available on the Handbooks 2024-25 webpage.
